who is this and why arent we married yet? wow.
Looking at the #pocahontas tag on Tumblr during Halloween makes me want to blow something up.
I fucking hate all of you. Be glad you didn’t come in my neighborhood.
Pocahontas! (: Happy Halloween.
You would think an Asian would know better than to commit cultural appropriation by wearing such a racist stereotype outfit. How about if someone dresses up as an “Asian” and ends up having a gagglefuck of different Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Filipino, etc. elements to their outfit and squint and pull their eyes back with their fingers and go “Me Chinese, hahaha”. That’s racist as fuck and so is what you’re wearing.
And before you give me that “Oh, I just dressed as a Disney character. So what?” argument, let me make it clear. That Disney character is a racist stereotype… therefore, you dressed up as a racist stereotype. Period.
YAY for President Higgins! Moral outrage! The Irish Bernie Sanders calls a crook a crook. Alrighty.
Impunity is over. The crooks will be prosecuted and jailed.
This is Ireland’s new President. How I wish our president was such a talented spokesperson!
Anyone else jealous of how the last three presidents of Ireland have been extremely BAMFy?
His conviction in his words. It brought tears to my eyes. A true representative of the people.
Absolutely. I am also certain the Chamorros did not live in such disparity before it’s colonization by the Europeans and eventually, the USA. So if there is an OccupyGuam, it shouldn’t just be the poor against the rich, it should be the Chamorros (Native people of Guam) revolting to push out the United States, who is responsible for such a wide gap in the social structure there.
I said to myself today, “Self, we literally spent the entire day on the internet yesterday. Let’s not do that today, okay?”, and while I was mostly successful, getting some chores done, I caved during a food break and I just can’t stop looking at the Occupy movement updates, especially from Oakland. My mind is a mess of thoughts and emotions right now, and I don’t know how to sort them out. The emotions that come forward the most is fear and helplessness—fear, for the media suppression and police brutality, and helplessness because I don’t even know if anyone knows what’s going on stateside here, let alone cares about it. This is something I’d be living for, back home, agitating and protesting and getting in people’s faces about, and instead I scroll anxiously through my dashboard and Facebook and argue with wanna-be “53 percenters” that I thought I knew better than that.
Should there also be an Occupy Guam? I don’t know, because I haven’t lived here long enough to feel confident understanding their financial and political climate here. There probably should be, with the extreme gap between the haves and have-nots. No place I have ever lived, even in my family’s worst depths of poverty, has ever compared to the situations some people deal with here. Just like in the States, though, I have seen that a disturbing majority of the 99% are siding with the 1% that help cause these disparities.
On a slightly different note, does anyone have an idea of how to talk about the Occupy movement to young children? My daughters overheard Logan and me discussing what’s been going on, and asked me what it was about. I was at a loss for words as to how to sum it up in a way that 9-year-olds can understand it. They’re smarter than your average kiddos, gifted classes and all that jazz, but they’re still children and can’t process everything the same way we do.
Occupy Guam? Yes, people are already occupying Guam. They’re called the United States of America. Military outposts like Guam, South Korea, Kosovo, Bosnia, Kuwait, etc. are Imperialism/Colonialism, disguised as “assisting in world affairs, protecting US citizens abroad and the spread of democracy.” We need to unoccupy Guam and other places around the world, stop displacing US military personnel and their families and give this land back to the Indigenous peoples that were there.
1)I had the priest outfit with the bulging hard-on, who also happened to be taking my 8 year old nephew trick-or-treating. That was fun getting the side-eye from white middle-class moms in the suburbs we were in. One of them confronted me, yelling and cursing. My nephew and I just laughed and walked off.
2) Pumpkin Pie… absolutely.
3) Hipsters wearing warbonnets, self piercing pictures, hipsters in general
4) I would bring my nephew, who has Angelman’s syndrome, to a Saints homegame or a WWE live show. He absolutely loves both. I already travel the world for work so I’d like to do something nice for him.
5) I’m not Christian so I don’t celebrate Christmas. I probably put more value in Winter Solstice than anything. It’s a time for hard transitions that prepare you for significant changes coming and I’m going through that now. Christmas has turned into a consumerism-based scam that I refuse to go along with.
What Does SCIENCE Teach Us?
Compare Humans, to Animals, that eat MEAT: the Human body,
compared to that of a Carnivore’s, an Omnivore’s and a Herbivore’s.
The Human body is more like that of a Herbivore’s body!
Carnivores are sharp and pointed for tearing.
Humans & Herbivores are broad, flattened & spade shaped.
Carnivores are jagged and blade shaped.
Humans are flattened with nodular cusps.
Herbivores are flat with cusps vs complex surface.
Carnivores no digestive enzymes.
Humans & Herbivores have carbohydrate digesting enzymes.
Carnivores have stronger stomach acids to break down meat.
Humans & Herbivores stomach acid is 20x weaker than Carnivores.
In fact, it is about 5% the strength of a Carnivores.
Carnivores are short, 3x their body length. [for quick digestion]
Humans & Herbivores are long, 10-12x their body length. [for slower digestion]
Carnivores are short.
Humans & Herbivores are long.
Carnivores no skin pores, perspire through their tongues.
Humans have skin pores, perspire through skin.
Carnivores have sharp claws.
Humans have flattened nails.
Herbivores flattened nails or blunt hooves.
